Lamjung district court has sentenced a teacher to imprisonment after finding him guilty of raping his own student.The court sentenced Prakash Thapa, a teacher of Bhairav ​​Mavi located in Rainas Napa-9, to 12 years imprisonment for the crime of raping a 15-year-old student.

Tahsildar Bishwaraj Kuinkel informed that the bench of District Court Judge Shiv Khanal found the accused teacher Thapa guilty of rape on Tuesday, August 12th.

According to him, it has also been decided to pay a compensation of 250,000 rupees to the girl victim of Thapa.

The court ordered teacher Prakash Thapa to be sent to prison on Wednesday, October 7, 2019.

The victim girl filed a complaint at District Police Office Lamjung on August 1, 079, saying that Thapa, a resident of Rainas 9, Mohoriakot, and Arjun Vikram Thapa, a resident of the same place, had forcibly raped her at different times.

Arjun Vikram Thapa was arrested soon after the complaint. The teacher Prakash Thapa was arrested by the police on 14 August 2079.

On the same day, the bench of Judge Khanal also found another accused, Arjun Vikram Thapa, guilty of the crime of rape and sentenced him to death. Tehsildar Kuinkel informed that the court has sentenced the accused Thapa to 12 years imprisonment and compensation has been demanded accordingly.

According to the police, although the victim girl in this case is the same, the incident is different. As the incidents are separate, the accused have been tried separately.
